Los Alamos National Laboratory


One of 17 national laboratories overseen by the US Department of Energy. LANL is located in Los Alamos, New Mexico, and was established in 1943 as a center for the design and development of the atomic bomb. Today, the focus of research at LANL is national security and nuclear deterrence.
